Transparent Pricing, Before You Book
A minor service typically costs R1 900 to R2 150 and a major service R2 550 to R3 350. That is parts, oil and labour together, quoted upfront before any work begins, so the price you accept is the price you pay.

Service Plans and Claims
Michanic is a Motorite partner. If your car is on a Motorite plan we process the service claim for you directly, and we handle claims with other major providers too — your plan stays intact, a qualified mechanic simply comes to you instead of you going to a workshop. If you would rather spread the cost of keeping your car serviced, Michanic service plans cover you for 36 months with unlimited kilometres.
Minor vs Major Service
A minor service covers the oil, the oil filter, fluid top-ups and the 21-point safety check. A major service follows your manufacturer schedule for the mileage and adds air, fuel and cabin filters, spark plugs where due, and a deeper inspection. Between the two sits an interim service for high-mileage cars. Not sure which you need? Give us the mileage and we will tell you.

No. A manufacturer warranty stays valid as long as the service follows the schedule and uses correct-specification parts. We do both, stamp your service book and send you a written report. - Do you process service plan claims?
Yes. Michanic is a Motorite partner and we process Motorite service claims directly, as well as claims with other major providers. You do not have to go to a workshop to use your plan. - What does a car service cost?
