How Does Michanic Work?
Michanic provides you with an instant quote based on current parts pricing and industry standard labour. Once you are happy with the pricing, Michanic will connect you with over 100 Mechanics and garages which are vetted for criminal records, skill, experience and qualifications.
We also have a support line (0878039000) which you can contact to ask any questions and ensure that your booking goes accordingly.
Is there Warranty On Repairs And Services?
Yes. All repairs & services come with a 6-month warranty on labour and up to 2 year warranty on parts depending on the manufacture. If there’s any issues in the services we provided. We will ensure that it is resolved for you at no additional cost.
How do you take payments?
We take all payments through our site, when you make a booking you will be asked to either pay by card(paygate), EFT (Ozow) or get it on credit (Fasta).
Do you use a secure payment system?
When you make payment for your booking be assured that your details are sent over SSL to a secure third party named Paygate (for Cards), Ozow (for eft) and Fasta (for credit) for payment, who meet bank-level PCI-DSS security standards.
Do I have to pay online for every job I book?
Yes, in this way all payments remain transparent and it will ensure that we have the ability to refund you for work by the mechanic that you are not happy with.
How do I request a refund?
Should you be unhappy with the work that was carried out by the mechanic please contact us. We will launch an investigation to ascertain whether any work was not carried out correctly and if the issue can be resolved amicably and satisfactory to all parties involved. If it’s not possible to find an amicable resolution to the case, then we will decide if a full or partial refund is justified based on the evidence provided by you and the mechanic.

Does any money leave my account before the mechanic comes to work on my car?
Before sending a mechanic out to you we need to have a payment done already via card or EFT (Proof of Payment required).
Can I pay the mechanic in cash?
No, we only take credit cards, debit cards and EFT which we take at the point of booking, to ensure that all payments made are logged and transparent to all. It will, moreover, protect you in case you are not happy with any work that the mechanic has undertaken, this way we will have the ability to refund any work undertaken by the mechanic. We would not be able to enforce that with a cash payment. Importantly, it will mean you will always have the added security of your bank’s card protection.
Making A Booking
I don’t know what is wrong with my car.
If you are unsure what the issue may be with your car, we suggest a diagnostic inspection. Our mechanic will find the issue and provide you with a report. Our customer service team can also assist in choosing the right service. You can contact them on 0878039000
Can I book the mechanic the same day?
Normally we ask for a day’s notice when you make a booking to ensure that we can get you booked in with a mechanic. However, we can always try and find a mechanic on our network that is available to come out to you on the same day. Just leave us a message, we’ll try and get sorted for you.
Remember the earlier you booked, the more likely it is that we will be able to accommodate your booking.
Can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking at any time – however please see our detailed policies on cancelling your booking on: www.michanic.co.za/terms as a cancellation fee may apply.
To cancel your booking, please send us an email or Whatsapp and we will happily assist with the cancellation
It is important that you do this as soon as possible to avoid any complications.
what happens after the booking is confirmed?
Having received the booking confirmation via email, we will keep you up-to-date with any info regarding the booking where necessary. Our mechanic will, moreover, start to source parts if necessary, subsequently he’ll be on his way to you at the desired place and time to carry out the work you booked for.
Do I have to go through your website for every boking?
Yes, we take all our bookings through our site. Don’t worry, it’s super simple and will only take one minute. It enables us to process bookings rapidly and keep costs down for you.

Where is your workshop?
We are mobile mechanics and that means we come to you. We have also partnered with some workshops for bigger jobs that cannot be done at home or office.
Where are your offices?
Our offices are in Bryanston, Epsom Downs.
Which areas are your mechanics available in?
We have mechanics in Gauteng and Cape Town. Go to locations to see all locations we currently service.
