Servicing

Yes. In South Africa you’re entitled to have your car serviced by an independent provider without voiding your manufacturer’s warranty, as long as the service is carried out to manufacturer specification, using the correct parts and fluids, and properly recorded. We do all three, and we stamp your service book.

One thing to check: a service plan or maintenance plan is not the same as a warranty. If your car is still on a plan you’ve already paid for, those services are covered by the dealer.

Yes. Your mechanic carries a stamp and will complete and stamp your service book before leaving, along with a record of the work carried out so your service history stays intact and your car’s resale value is protected.

No, not for standard top-ups. Our minor and major services include top-ups of the usual fluids brake fluid, coolant, power steering and washer fluid. If your car needs a larger quantity than a normal top-up, for example because of a leak, we’ll quote you for it before anything is added. You’ll never be charged for extra fluids without approving it first.

Every service includes a full report of the checks carried out, the parts and fluids used, and anything your mechanic recommends keeping an eye on. If you haven’t received yours, WhatsApp us with your booking number and we’ll send it through.

Your service book will be stamped Michanic, with our contact details and the date and mileage of the service.
