Can I amend my booking?
Yes, we can amend any details of a booking for you, just send us an email if you have changed your mind about what, where or when your car needs work carried out. We can change everything for you, from the date and time to adding more jobs to your booking.
Can I book a mechanic for the same day?
Normally we ask for a day’s notice when you make a booking to ensure that we can get you booked in with a mechanic. However, we can always try and find a mechanic on our network that is available to come out to you on the same day. Just leave us a message, we’ll try and get sorted for you.
Remember the earlier you booked, the more likely it is that we will be able to accommodate your booking.
Can I book more than one job at the same time?
Of course! Our quoting engine allows you to add as many repairs, inspections or services as required to your shopping basket and get a quote for these to be completed in one visit.

Can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking at any time – however please see our detailed policies on cancelling your booking on: www.michanic.co.za/terms as a cancellation fee may apply.

It is important that you do this as soon as possible to avoid any complications.
Can I contact my mechanic after my booking has been confirmed?
Please direct any questions or notes to our customer service whatsapp line, we will inform the mechanic accordingly.

Can I make a booking with you last minute?
Yes, in some cases we can accommodate last-minute bookings, though, this is always subject to availability of a mechanic and parts in your area. When making the booking, please select ‘as soon as possible’ for the arrival time and leave a note in the booking telling us when you would like a mechanic.
Remember the earlier you book, the more likely it is that we will be able to accommodate your booking.
Do I have to go through your website for every job I want to book?
Yes, we take all our bookings through our site. Don’t worry, it’s super simple and will only take one minute. It enables us to process bookings rapidly and keep costs down for you.
How far in advance are you able to schedule a booking?
Through our site you will be able to book any job about a month in advance. If you need work done at a later date, then please send us a message after having made a booking through our system (select any date), we will amend the booking on our end accordingly.
How long does it take before my booking is confirmed?
This will depend on how rapidly one of the mechanics on our network in your area will accept your booking. That said, we always endeavour to process bookings on the same day they were made through our website.
I don’t know what job to book?
If you are unsure what kind of work needs carrying out to fix your car or if you are unsure what’s wrong with your car we would highly recommend booking a diagnostic inspection.
During the diagnostic inspection the mechanic will inspect the issue or faulty component and will endeavour to make any repairs if possible (not including any parts). If necessary, the mechanic will provide you with a full quote for further work that needs to be carried out to get your car’s problem sorted.
I have not received a confirmation of my booking, has my booking been placed?
After making a booking you will always receive an email from us with the subject ‘Thank you for ordering with Michanic (If not, try look in your spam folder, the email might have been sent there). This means your booking has been successfully received and we are working towards placing it with one of the mechanics on our network.
Once one of the mechanics on the network has confirmed availability, you will receive a further email confirming that your booking has been scheduled with one of the mechanics.
I have placed two bookings through the site, can you combine these into one?
Yes, that is no problem, just send a message and we’ll combine the bookings into one.
In some cases it might be that jobs overlap technically, in that case you would not pay extra labour for the additional work that you’d like done, saving you money in the process.

Is my booking placed with a mechanic instantly upon booking through the site?
No, not instantly. Upon placing a booking it will be sent to mechanics in your area, once one of the mechanics confirms they are available for your booking will be placed and scheduled as requested. In most cases you will receive a confirmation within 24 hours, and often your booking will be confirmed within an hour of you placing it!
I started a booking, but did not pay yet, can I complete that previous booking or do I need to start again from the beginning?
Yes, when landing on the booking page, the system will ask you to continue where you left off, when you click ok, then you will be directed to where you where last.
I want to cancel my booking, how can I do this?
Click on the cancel booking link on the email where the booking was confirmed.

Up to how long before a job can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking with us, but please note that there may be a charge when cancelling a job with less than 24 hours notice. Please see our Booking Policies on https://www.michanic.co.za/terms.
What happens after a booking has been confirmed?
Having received the booking confirmation via email, we will keep you up-to-date with any info regarding the booking where necessary. Our mechanic will, moreover, start to source parts if necessary, subsequently he’ll be on his way to you at the desired place and time to carry out the work you booked for.
When I booked I put in the wrong address, how can I change this?
